Spanish 1-2-3-4-5 in Peugeot Tour's Madrid event
Spain's Alvaro Salto took the lead in Madrid on the first round and never let it go. He fired 67 today for a 14-under-par total of 199 to win the Peugeot Tour's Villa de Madrid by three clear shots. Salto previously won this tournament in 2003. First prize today was worth 6,633 Euros.
Inigo Urquizu, another Alps Tour member, had is best result of the season. He fired one eagle, three birdies and dropped two shots in finishing alone in second place with a 68 on 202.
The first five places were all filled by Spanish players.
Steven Hume signed off with a 68 for 209, finishing in joint 16th place and earning 782 Euros.
Fellow Perthshire traveller Gavin Dear collected 691 Euros for roundes of 73, 68 and 69 for 210 and a share of 21st place.
Next Alps Tour event will take place in Austria from August 6 to 8.
