The Saltman brothers – Elliot, Lloyd and Zack – have been handed a major boost by Edinburgh-based Aegon extending its sponsorship of the talented golfing trio by three years.
'Team Saltman' has earned the new deal after impressing Aegon bosses since the life assurance and pensions company started supporting them."We are delighted to continue our sponsorship of 'Team Saltman' as part of our commitment to developing and supporting emerging talent," said Steve Clode, Aegon's Director of Marketing and Customer Strategy.
"The boys have achieved a great deal already which is evident from last year's results. We are looking forward to supporting them over the next three years as they go on to further success."
Aegon were particularly pleased to see Elliot and Lloyd qualify for last year's Open at Turnberry, where Zack shared the spotlight in the build up to the world's oldest major.
This year Lloyd, 24, will be competing mainly on the Challenge Tour while Elliot, 27, and Zack, 21, will be splitting their time between the PGA EuroPro Tour and the Alps Tour.
Speaking on behalf of Team Saltman, Lloyd, who will be determined to qualify again for this year's Open at St Andrews, where he finished as leading amateur in 2005, said: "We're delighted to have Aegon's continued support for the next three years.
"To secure sponsorship from such a large organisation shows that Aegon is confident in our abilities and its support means a great deal to us. The sponsorship will enable us to focus on developing our game and building on our position. We'll definitely be pushing for higher rankings on the tours and further success in 2010 and beyond."
