LAMB DEFENDS PAUL LAWRIE
YOUNG PROS' MATCH-PLAY TITLE


Broomieknowe's Stephen Lamb is defending the title in the Paul Lawrie Young Professionals' match-play tournament which tees off on Monday at Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club.
All 16 competitors are guaranteed a minimum pay-out of £210 rising to £630 for the beaten finalist and £850 for the winner of the 18-hole final on Tuesday afternoon.
Monday's ties (10min intervals)
8.0 - S Lamb (Broomieknowe) v M Sweenie (Westin Turnberry), Graeme Lornie (Kings Links) v S Robin (Kilmarnock Barassie), J Wales (Kings Acre) v A Brown (Whitecraigs)
8.30 - P Hubner (Eastwood) v M Barnard (Inchmarlo), J McGhee (Turnhouse) v B Wallace (Buchanan Castle), P Mtchell (Hermitage) v G Rankin (Stirling).
9.0 G McBain (Royal Dornoch) v D Laing (Craigielaw), C Matheson (Falkirk Tryst) v G Fox (East Kilbride).
Quarter-finals start from 12.30 at 20min intervals.
