Scotland did not too badly in the European men's individual amateur championship at Esbjerg Golf Club, Denmark.
Four players at joint 11th or better among the best in Europe is worth a pat on the back.
Germany's Stephan Gross won the title with a four-under-par title of 280, made up of founds of 73, 68, 69 and 70 over the par-71 track.
Dutchman Richard King finished a shot behind with 69, 745, 70 and 68 for 281.
England's Luke Goddard from Hendon, the first-round pacemaker, tied for third place with Morten Madsen on 292. Goddard scored 68, 72, 70 and 72.
Top Scot was Paul O'Hara from Colville Park in fifth place on one-under-par 283 with scores of 72, 72, 72 and 67.
Gavin Dear from Murrayshall was joint sixth, a shot behind with 72, 72, 70 and 70 for level par 284.
Steven McEwan (Caprington) and Scottish champion Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan) were among a group sharing 11th place on 286. Steven had scores of 74, 74, 71 and 67. But for that opening round of 78, Callum would have been challenging for victory. His later scores were 68, 70 and 70.
Wallace Booth (Comrie), who had a high final placing last year, never got really going this year. He finished 42nd equal on 295 with score of 76, 71, 75 and 73.
