McCreadie wins Strathaven pro-am

Buchanan Castle's Jason McCreadie, a distant second to leading Tartan Tour money-winner Chris Doak in the current cash table, chipped a bit off the deficit when he won the £1,221 first prize in the £8,875 Strathaven Golf Club pro-am today

McCreadie shot a five-under-par round of 66 to finish two shots clear of David Orr (East Renfrewshire), Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs) and Mark King (Kingsfield). All three received £753

Doak finished joint 14th on 71 and earned a £122 pay-out..

Mark Loftus (Cowglen) steered the Dorricott Landscaping amateur trio of Norman Dorricott (handicap 14), David Watt (7) and Alistair Ritchie (2) to victory in the team event with a net score of 15-under-par 56.
