The link between Tiger and Hogan

Talking about Tiger Woods and whether he will ever be 100 per cent fit again ..
Did you know that Ben Hogan never competed more than nine times a season for the rest of his career after the car accident that almost killed him 16 months before his victory in the 1950 US Open at Merion?
After the car collison with a Greyhound bus in 1949, Hogan was left with a double fracture of the pelvis, a fractured collar bone, a left ankle fracture and a chipped rib. Hogan won three of the four events he played in 1951, including the U.S. Open and the Masters. He won all three majors he played among eight tournaments in 1953.
