TWELVE-YEAR-OLD WINS NEWBURGH'S
MEN'S HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIP

Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club's MEN'S handicap championship has been won by a BOY!
Twelve-year-old Jack Moir, pictured right, whose uncle Angus won the Scottish amateur championship in 1984, had a four-over-par net total of 292 off a handicap of 13.
His net rounds were 73, 70, 80 and 69.
"Jack was seven shots behinid the leader going into the final round and I am very proud of his achievement. Newburgh is a very challenge course, especially off the medal tees," said his father John.
"The way the weather has been over the last couple of weeks, for a boy aged 12 to score like this is exceptional.
"He has managed to reduce his handicap from 19 this season and is a member of the club's junior pennant team."
Young Jack is a left-handed and has been playing golf since he was three.
