Russell Knox makes top 10 in

Oklahoma despite double bogey

Russell Knox from Inverness earned $4,957 for a joint eighth finish in The Buffalo Run Classic, the latest event on the NGA Hooters Tour, at Peoria Ridge, Oklahoma on Sunday.
A double bogey 6 at the ninth in a final round of par 72 cost him a lot of dollars.
Knox, who has lived at Jacksonville Beach, Florida since his four years on the US college golf circuit as a student at Jacksonville University, had earlier scores of 69, 63 and 64. His final total was 20-under-par 268 but, on this satellite circuit where the standard of play is unbelievably high, the winner, Jeff Corr from Longwood, Florida shot 30 under par 258 (62-64-64-68 over a 6,960yd course to earn the top pay-out of $33,566
Knox has won $36,853 from 10 events - two missed cuts - on the Hooters Tour this year.
