Steven Taylor completes double

whammy at Edzell pro-am

Bothwell Castle professional Steven Taylor made it a weekend to remember when he followed up his Saturday win in the Portlethen pro-am by capturing the first prize again in Sunday's weather-hit Edzell pro-am.
Play was suspended at the Angus venue for over two hours in the afternoon because of thunder and lightning in the area, which meant that it was almost dark when the tournament finished just after 10pm.
Taylor shot a five-under-par 66 to win the £1,106 first prize by three strokes. Saturday's success was his first win of the season. He wasted no time in chalking up win No 2.
Chris Campbell (Carnegie Club) was runner-up with a 69.
Paul Wardell (Whitekirk) led the Sonoco amateur trio of Murray May (4), Gary Tough (+2) and Gordon Gray (8) to victory in the team event with a 16-under-par net total of 126.
