A FEW DOLLARS MORE FOR
KNOX ON HOOTERS TOUR

Inverness exile Russell Knox earned $1818 for a joint 26th place finish in the latest NGA Hooters' Tour event, the Kings Creek Classic at Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Knox, based at Jacksonville Beach, Florida, since he played on the US college circuit for four years as a student at Jacksonville University, had rounds of 66, 67, 70 and 69 for an eight-under-par total of 272 over the par-70 lay-out.
David Skinns from Lincoln finished joint seventh on 266 and his take-home pay was $5,849 for rounds of 64, 68, 67 and 67.
Niall Turner from Cork earned $1592 for a joint 31st place finish on 273 (63-70-71-69).
Welshman Ben Briscoe, a winner on the satellite tour a few weeks ago, came joint 44th on 276 (68-69-69-70) to earn $1,270.
The top prize of $33,566 was won by Tommy Biershenk from South Carolina with a 21-under-par total of 259, made up of 62, 62, 64 and 66. He won by one shot from Bryant McKellar of Alabama who picked up $16,735 for scores of 61, 67, 67 and 65 for 260.
The Hooters Tour now takes a break until the third week of July at Austin, Texas.
