It's that man Doak again! Fifth
win of the season at Wishaw

Northern Open champion Chris Doak scored his fifth win of the Tartan Tour season in the weekend Wishaw Order of Merit 36-hole pro-am.

Doak shot rounds of 63 and 68 for a seven-under-par total of 131, winning the £2,491 first prize by one shot from Jonathan Lomas (unattached) and Graeme Lornie (Kings Links).

Doak, picture right by Cal Carson Golf Agency (all rights reserved), currently tops the PGA Scottish Region money table with £16,589, almost twice as much as second-placed Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle).

Steven Taylor (Bothwell Castle) and Doak led on Saturday night with six-under-par 63s but Taylor fell back to joint sixth place with a second-round 73 for 136.

Jonathan Lomas posted the clubhouse target of six-under-par 132 with scores of 67 and 65.

Graeme Lornie matched it with rounds of 65 and 67 before Doak came cruising past them with his closing 68 for 131.

Doak had so much in hand after gaining an eagle 3 at the 480yd fourth hole for the second day in a row and reaching the turn in three-under-par 32, that he was able to afford the luxury of bogeying the 11th, 16th and 18th, with a 2 at the short 17th his only birdie in his last 11 holes.

Lomas and Lornie each earned £1,755.

Scott Catlin (Greenburn) and Alan Lockhart (Ladybank) tied for foufrht place on 134, each earning £1,008.
