RUSSELL KNOX DROPS OUT TOP
40 IN HOOTERS' TOUR EVENT
Florida-based Russell Knox from Inverness dropped from a share of joint 37th place to tied 57th after a third-round 75 in the NGA Hooters Tour event, the Orgion Group Classic at Blacktho9rn Golf Club, South Bend, Indiana (par-72, 7136yd).
Knox had earlier rounds of 72 and 71 and is on two-under-par 218.
Irishmen Niall Turner from Cork and Sean McTernan (Sligo), both former US college circuit players, lost ground with scores of 71 and 72 respectively for 208 and 209.
There's a triple tie on nine-under-par 207 in the chase for the $10,000 prize at the end of the fourth rounds.
