IMG confident World Match
Play has bright future

A statement on the future of the World Match Play Championship, held at Wentworth every year since Arnold Palmer won the title in 1964, is expected soon.
Banking giants HSBC, who took over the sponsorship of the event in 2003, have decided October's tournament will be their last.
But Guy Kinnings, managing director of golf in Europe for promoters International Management Group, said: "The long-term future looks very good and we are fairly happy with the situation."
Piccadilly, Colgate, Suntory, Toyota and Cisco preceded HSBC as sponsors, but HSBC were the first to bring in a qualifying system based on the four majors and performances on the European Tour.
