GARY TOUGH GRABS CRAIGMILLAR

PARK OPEN LEAD WITH A 62

Letham Grange Golf Hotel course manager Gary Tough shot a brilliant round of eight-under-par 62 to take over the lead at the end of the second round of the Craigmillar Park Open in Edinburgh today.

Gary, winner of this event in 1996, has a 36-hole tally of 134, having scored two-over 72 in Saturday's first round.

The event was cut from its traditional 72 holes to three rounds when Saturday's play was not able to start until 9am because of overnight flooding of the greens.

Craig Elliott (Carrickvale) moved up into second place with 18 holes to go by returning a 65 to add to his Saturday 70.

Mark Kerr (Craigielaw) and David Miller (Duddingston) were sharing third place on 136.

Overnight leader Michael Buchan (Cruden Bay) slipped out of the pole position with a 72 for 137.
