Fairways Target Golf Leagues

While the Tuesday night league title has been tucked away, the second play-off place is very much up for grabs. The Luckless Leadbetters belied their name once again with another convincing display to see off the hapless Old Swingers.
The Leadbetters have been beaten only once this season and have scored over 100 shots more than anyone else so they are deserved winners of the title. But Raigmore Motel have put the cat among the pigeons with their win over fellow play-off chasers the Grumps.
A win for the Grumps would have seen them guarantee their spot but they contrived to have their worst score of the season and Raigmore won by just eight shots. This leaves Raigmore level on points but with the Grumps have the superior shots scored record.
In next week's final game the Grumps take on the Coastguards while Raigmore face the Old Swingers. A couple of weeks ago a game against the Coastguards would have been easy points but they have finally shaken off the hoodoo and got the result their season deserved.
A score of 59 was their highest of the season and it brought them a victory over Fairways. This means that the Coastguards still have a chance of avoiding the wooden spoon and Fairways could go from top to bottom in a single season.

Luckless Leadbetter’s 68, Old Swingers 11.
Fairways 32, Coastguards 59.
Raigmore Motel 29, Grumps 21.
The final league games are next Tuesday (March 18) while the play-offs and Captain’s Cup are on Wednesday, March 19. The annual Target Golf Texas Scramble will take place over Loch Ness Golf Course at Fairways on Sunday, March 23.
