TULLIALLAN'S ROBERT STEWART
SHARES SPANISH SENIORS LEAD

Tulliallan's Robert Stewart was the toast of the large contingent of Scots in the Bonalba clubhouse, Alicante after he shared the first-round lead on one-under-par 71 with Spaniard Eustaquio Delgado from Madrid in the Spanish senior men's open amateur championship.
Another Scot, George Rodaks from Moffat was in joint third place on 74.
Callander's Gordon MacDonald, pictured right with the trophy, opened his bid for a third successive Spanish title with a steady round of three-over-par 75 to be lying in joint seventh place in a field of 120.
Former Walker Cup player Sandy Pirie (Hazlehead) shared 21st place on 77.
