MICHAEL MAIN DOWN THE FIELD AT LAS VEGAS
Michael Main, from Fife, a freshman student at Jacksonville University, Florida, finished joint 62nd in his second tournament on the American college circuit - the Shootout at Angel Park Golf Club, Las Vegas.
Michael had rounds of 75, 82 and 70 for a 14-over-par tally of 227 over the par-71 course. His final round was the best by any member of the Jacksonville team of five over the three-round tournament.
Jacksonville team-mate, Stephen Healey from Clougher, Ireland made his US debut in the event and finished tied 66th on 228 with three rounds of 76.
