KNOX AND KIRKPATRICK HAVE IT ALL TO
DO IN US PGA TOUR QUALIFIER
Russell Knox from Inverness and Edinburgh exile David Kirkpatrick are lying joint 31st and 36th respectively after two rounds of the US PGA Tour Qualifying School Stage 1 event at Grasslands Golf & Country Club, Lakeland, Florida.
Knox, who opted to stay on in America after spending four years at Jacksonville University, Florida,
has scored 72 and 70 for a two-under-par tally of 142.
Kirkpatrick, a long-time resident of the Lakeland area, has shot 72 and 71 for 143.
The leader Eduardo Herrera from Windermere, Florida is four shots ahead of the field with a pair of 66s for 12-under-par 132.
Only the leading 19 or 20 after four rounds will go on to Stage 2.
