ANDY MARSHALL WINS JORDAN TROPHY WITH
FOUR-UNDER-PAR 67 AT MUSSELBURGH
By DUNCAN IRELAND

A field of 93 players on Wednesday at Musselburgh for a fantastic day. Unfortunately, because of some early frost, we had temporary greens for the front nine but everyone who played commented on the excellent standard of the back nine greens. A credit to the club and the greenkeeping staff.
For the second week in a row, the professionals' scores were better than their amateur counterparts and the Jordan Trophy went to Andy Marshall from Houston Golf Range with an excellent four-under-par 67. He pipped Mortonhall's David Patrick by one shot and Ross Harrower (Boat of Garten) and Craig Lee (All Golf Swing Centre) by two. Congratulations, Andy!
Very tight for the best handicap scores this week with three players tieing for first place on net 69 - John Kerr, Scott Walker & Stuart Wardlaw, with Stuart Morrison and Bryan Paterson tied for fourth, a shot behind on net 70.
We move on to Royal Musselburgh in a fortnight. As a good few of our professional members will be at the trade show in Harrowgate it's a good time for the amateurs to get some valuable Scratch Order of Merit points to help with qualifying for our annual championship at Dalmahoy.
Good luck to Craig Lee who is off to the European Tour Qualifying School in Spain and if there are any other pros who are similarly engaged, then good luck to them too.
