GLASGOW STUDENT IN COUGAR
INVITATIONAL TOP TEN

Stephen Keane from Glasgow, a student at Belmont Abbey College, North Carolina, was the best placed of the three Scots in the field of 93 after two rounds of the Cougar Invitational college 54-hole golf tournament at the Bull Creek West course, Midland in Georgia.
Stephen had steady rounds of 72 and 73 for a 36-hole tally of one-over-par 145 over the 6,861yd course to be in joint ninth place behind the leader, Will Wilcox (Clayton State) who shot 71 and 65 for eight-under 136.
Keane had three birdies and four bogeys over the two rounds.
Daniel Sommerville (Clayton State) from St Andrews scored 76 and 79 for a share of 67th place on 155. Daniel had one double bogey and three birdies over the 36 holes.
Freshman Kevin Duncan (Clayton State) from Ellon, Aberdeenshire had rounds of 84 and 73 for 157 to be lying in joint 79th place.
Kevin had four double bogeys in his opening round but he also had six birdies over the 36 holes and, after his nervous start, could be pleased with his second round.
Chris Carville (Belmont Abbey) from Belfast had rounds of 75 and 71 for a share of 15th place on 146.

139 Tobias Rosendahl (West Florida) 69 70.
