DUNOON MAN JUST OUTSIDE TOP 20 IN
ARLINGTON FALL CLASSIC

Chris Carson from Dunoon, a final-year student at Sam Houston State University, finished joint 21st in the UT Arlington Fall Classic at Waterchase Golf Club (par 72/7,304yd).
Chris, pictured right, had rounds of 73, 74 and 74 for 221.
The leading British player in a field of 88 players was 6ft 3in second-year student Alex Hogben (University of Missouri-Kansas City) from Manchester in joint 14th place. Alex scored 74, 70 and 75 for joint 14th on three-over-par 219.
Fergal Rafferty, a second-year student at Sam Houston State from Carrickmore, Northern Ireland, scored 78, 72 and 78 for joint 59th place on 228.
Winner of the tournament was Lloyd du Preez (Arkansas State) with a very good total of six-under-par 210, made up of 69, 71 and 70. He won by two shots from Colby Shrum (Central Oklahoma) with 67, 70 and 75.
Texas Arliington, playing over their home course, won by 22 shots with a total of 851. Central Oklahoma (873) and UMKC (874) were second and third. Sam Houston State (887) were seventh.
