JAMIESON SCRAPES THROUGH TO WEEKEND
PLAY IN HOOTERS TOUR EVENT

Joel Hendry and Scott Jamieson beat the cut after two rounds of the Hooters Tour event, the Michelob Ultra Classic, at River Hills G&CC, Little River in South Carolina with contrasting degrees of comfort.
Twice former Scottish youths champion Hendry from Elgin (some time ago) shot 72 and 70 for two-under-par 142 to start the third round in ashare of 18th place.
Jamieson, who had a successful first half of the season on the Hooters Tour before coming back to Europe during the circuit's mid-summer break, shot 72 and 74 for 146, which was the deadline mark for the qualifiers.
Jamieson started his second round brilliantly, birdieing the first four holes. Then he underwent a remarkable transformation of fortunes - a double bogey 6 at the fifth followed by bogeys at the sixth, seventh, eighh, 10th and 11th. A birdie 2 at the short 12th got him out of the rut be he slipped down again with a bogey 4 at the short 15th before getting a vital birdie 3 at the 16th ... vital because if he had parred the hole, then he would have missed the cut.
Two Americans share the lead on six-under-par 138 - Mark Blakefield (68-70) and Matthew Anderson (70-68).
