ROOKIE ELLIOT SALTMAN WINS £10,000
PLAY-OFF ON PGA EUROPRO TOUR

It looks like being a great weekend for the Saltman brothers from Craigielaw. Lloyd makes his amateur swansong in the Walker Cup match at Royal County Down and Elliot the elder scored his first win in his rookie pro season at Stonebridge Golf Club today.
Saltman, pictured right, picked up the £10,000 first prize in the PGA EuroPro Tour event, the 54-hole Ethos Group Classic, by beating England's Matthew Ford in a play-off after they had tied on 10-under-par 197. Saltman and Ford both shot 65 in the third round to finish two shots ahead of the field. Elliot's earlier rounds were 68 and 64.
The win boosts Elliot Saltman to seventh place on the PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit with winnins of £13,012. The next best Scot in the table is Jack Doherty in 27th place with £5,580.
Doherty and Andrew Oldcorn finished joint seventh today on 201 and each received £860.
