Scots Joel Hendry from Elgin and Glasgow's Scott Jamieson were both back in the clubhouse with par-matching scores of 72 when first-round play in the Hooters Tour event, the Michelob Ultra Classic, at River Hills Golf & Country Club at little River, South Carolina was halted at 7.40pm local time because of darkness.
One-third of the field were still out on the course and they will have to complete their first rounds today before the second round can be started.
Jamieson, making his comeback on the satellite circuit after a return home during the Hooters Tour's mid-summer hiatus, had birdies at the fourth, seventh, 11th and 17th but he bogeyed the first and second and had a double-bogey 6 at the 14th in halves of 36.
Hendry also had a double-bogey 6, at the 13th sandwiched between birdies at the first and sixth in halves of 35 and 37.
Four players lead on four-under-68 - all Americans: Alex Hamilton, Mark Blakefield, Andrew Medley and Ted Smith.
The course measures 6,928yd and has a par of 72.
