GARY GLITTERS WITH A 67 AT BALGOWNIE

Gary McFarlane (Clober) won the £1,980 top prize in the Grampian Houston Junior pro-am at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club today with a four-under-par score of 67.
McFarlane highlighted his card with an eagle 3 at the long sixth and had birdies at the second, ninth, 10th and 16th in halves of 32 (four under par) and 35 (level par). He had two bogeys, at the 11th and 15th.
Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs) was runner-up with a 68.
Gary McFarlane scored a double whammy, leading the Micron Eagle amateur trio of Andreas Nagel (handicap 18), John Rae (16) and Richard Gibson (10) to victory in the team event with a net total of 14-under-par 57.
