SOUTH AFRICAN A BOBBY-DAZZLER TO WIN
FROM LONGMUIR IN JERSEY SENIOR CLASSIC

South African Bobby Lincoln, a 53-year-old from Johannesburg, put together a brilliant last round of 67 to win the Jersey Seniors Classic with a final 54-hole total of 11-under-par 205 at La Moye Golf Club today.
It was Lincoln's first win on the over-50s pro circuit.
Only Anglo-Scot Bill Longmuir could live with the "Bobby-dazzler" and he returned a 69 to finish two shots behind on 207.
After the first and second there was a gap of six shots to five players on 213, including Sam Torrance who matched the par of 72 in his final round.
The shot of the day came from former Senior British Open champion Peter Oakley who recorded the 15th hole-in-one of his career when he hit a six iron into the hole on the 180yd 14th. The American wins 180 bottles of wine for the shot under a special arrangement the Seniors Tour has with Hardys Wines.
“I guess I have been lucky with aces,” said Oakley. “Once I won $5,000 for a hole in one on the Champions Tour in the States but winning all that Hardys wine is kinda’ neat.I guess we’ll all have to have a party.”
