McKECHNIE WINS £1,115 WITH 66 AT BONNYTON

Paul McKechnie (Braid Hills) won the top pro prize of £1,115 for a six-under-par round of 66 in the BMI Ross Hall Hospital/Lexus Bonnyton professional’s pro-am today (Tuesday).
McKechnie, starting at the 18th in this double shotgun event, birdied the first, third and fourth, eagled the fifth, birdied the sixth, had his only bogey of the round at the eighth and then had his last birdie of the day at the 10th.
He parred his last seven holes to win by two shots from Ricky Gray (Torrance House).
Gray led the "Hays" trio of amateurs to victory in the pro-am with a team net score of 19-under-par 125.
