3PM RESTART SCHEDULED FOR "BRITISH" AT ALWOODLEY
Play in the Ladies British open amateur golf championship will restart at 3pm this afternoon at Alwoodley Golf Club, Leeds.
Although there is still a drizzle, the large pools of water, particularly those in the area of the first tee, have shrunk considerably since 11am.
Short of playing three rounds on Saturday, as one official suggested, it means that the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played on Saturday and the 18-hole final on Sunday morning.
