VIJAY SINGH COMING OVER FOR BMW
PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
Vijay Singh, winner of two US PGA championships, will be seeking a unique transatlantic 'double' next month after confirming hisparticipation in the BMW PGA championship at Wentworth Club, Surrey from May 24-27.
No player has previously claimed both titles but the 44-year=old Fijian has the chance to add the BMW PGA Cchampionship on European soil, having already captured the United States version in 1998 and again in 2004.
Singh, winner of 12 titles on the European Tour International Schedule and an honorary member of the European Tour, is excited at the prospect of facing the new challenges of the West Course for the first time since the refinements were made to the famous Harry Colt design by Wentworth Club under the scrutiny and control of Ernie Els.
