Scottish women's amateur championship at Kilmarnock Barassie


SLGA president Ethel Jack, chairman Margaret MacNaughtan, finalists Jenna Wilson and Emily Ogilvy and match referee Gillian Kirkwood on the first tee at Kilmarnock Barassie this morning.

JENNA WILSON BEATS EMILY OGILVY 2 and 1
IN FINAL TO WIN FIRST SCOTTISH TITLE
Top seed Jenna Wilson from Strathaven drew first blood in the final of the Scottish women's amateur championship on a windy but so far dry morning at Kilmarnock Barassie. There had been wild winds and heavy rain overnight.

Jenna won the first hole with a par 5.
Emma won the second hole to square the match.
Third hole halved.
Jenna won the seventh and eighth to go two up.
The ninth was halved, leaving Jenna Wilson two up at the turn.
Jenna birdied the 10 to go three up.
Emily won back the 11th to be two down.
The 12th was halved in par 5s.
Emily won the 13th with a par 4 to be only one down.
Emily won the short 14th with a par 3 to square the match.
Jenna regained lead with a par 4 at the 15th
Jenna went two up with a par 5 at the 16th.
A half in par 5s at the 17th meant Jenna had won the match 2 and 1.
