CLARE QUEEN FOUR SHOTS BEHIND
LEADERS AFTER WINDY DAY
IN TENERIFE LADIES OPEN
Clare Queen (Carrick at Cameron House), pictured right, will start the final round of the Tenerife Ladies Open in joint 14th position, four shots off the pace.
High winds for today's third round saw a fair turnaround on the leaderboard with Spain's Ana Sanchez, who had a 76 for level par 216, dropping down to a triple tie for fourth place.
New leaders are Sophie Sandolo (Italy), who had a brilliant round of 68, Nikki Garrett (Australia), 71, and Becky Brewerton (Wales) who had a 71.
They are all on one-under-par 215.
England's Trish Johnson, second-placed overnight, was blown away to a 77 for 218 and a share of 11th place.
Clare Queen's third-round 75 saw her actually gain ground with a 54-hole tally of three-over 219.
Kathryn Imrie also played well for a 74 and is sharing 34th place on 222.
Lynn Kenny (Archerfield Links) did not enjoy the wind and return a 79 for 227, which dropped her to a share of 54th place.
