VIKKI LAING MISSES CUT IN LOUISIANA
PELICAN CLASSIC

The fortunes of Musselburgh exile Vikki Laing on the US Futures Tour show no signs of an upturn this season.
The multiple former Scottish girls champion and past Curtis Cup player missed the 36-hole cut on Saturday in the Louisiana Pelican Classic women's at The Wetlands golf course, Lafayette. Vikki had rounds of 78 and 72 over the 6,437yd, par-72 course for a total of 150, which was three strokes too many to qualify her for the final round.
Brenda McLarnon from Belfast, another former US women's college circuit player, missed out with an aggregate of 147, made up of rounds of 74 and 75.
The lead was shared on seven-under 137 by Jenny Gleason from Florida (68-69) and Janell Howland (Idaho) with 65 and 72.
They are one shot ahead of Mo Martin from California (70-68) and Allison Fouch (Michigan) 68-70.
