MICHAEL SIM JOINT NINTH AT END OF
FIRST DAY IN BYRON NELSON CLASSIC

Aberdeen-born Michael Sim was lying joint ninth at the end of the first round of the Byron Nelson Classic, this week's US PGA Tour event at TPC Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas.
Michael, who secured a top-20 finish in his debut on the American circuit last week after months of rehab from a stress fracture in his lower back, bogeyed the first hole but moved into the red numbers with birdies at the first, fifth, seventh and 14th.
Luke Donald is the leading British player in joint fourth place on 67.
American Sean O'Hair is setting the pace with a 65.
