NOW BIRMINGHAM NEC TO STAGE
GOLF SHOW IN NOVEMBER

The Golf Show Co Ltd, owner of the London Golf Show, will launch The Golf Show, NEC Birmingham, from November 16 to 18.
The announcement was made today to the assembled golfing media at the opening day of the company’s successful flagship event, the London Golf Show, at ExCeL.
Colin Brunton, chairman of The Golf Show Co Ltd, explained: “We had been in discussion with officials at The NEC for some time now and they are really keen for the show to be held at the venue to enable the thousands of golfers based in the centre of the country to enjoy what Londoners have benefited from in the last three years.
“The Golf Show Co has been able to establish a successful template for golf shows, and we decided to establish The Golf Show, NEC Birmingham 2007, using our experience to expand our regional business. We believe there may be other opportunities both internationally and in other regions of the UK.
“While golf is an open-air sport, exhibitions such as this are hostage to Mother Nature so as much as possible needs to be held under cover. And the technological advances in golf coaching – with the advent of computer analysis and ball-flight monitors – necessitate a consistent power supply and an environment which can be provided only by a modern, state-of-the-art exhibition venue such as the NEC.”
The majority of features which have enabled the London Golf Show to cement its place as Europe’s largest consumer golf show will be included in the new event – and The Golf Show Co has promised a new iconic feature to rival that of London’s floating green.
