LINCICOME CATCHES OCHOA AND LAURA
OVER FINAL ROUND OF GINN OPEN
American Brittany Lincicome's par-match final round of 72 in adverse conditions enabled her to catch the long-time leaders Lorena Ochoa and Laura Davies in the Ginn Open at Reunion Resort & Club.
Brittany shot 67, 72, 67 and 72 for six-under-par 278 over the 6,505, par-72 course. She won the top prize of $390,00.
Lorena sagged to a closing 77 but that gave her second place on 2790 with 66, 66, 70 and 77, earning her $233,732.
Laura Davies slumped to a final-day 79 for 281 after earlir rounds of 66, 66,70 and 79. That gave the English player third place and earned her $169,557.
Catriona Matthew from North Berwick finished joint 40th on 292 with scores of 74, 72, 71 and 75.
Mhairi McKay from Glasgow had scores of 75, 71, 75 and 78 for a share of 75th place on 299.
