EDEN TOURNAMENT FINALE

OLIVER FARR WINS EDEN TROPHY BUT
EDEN TANKARD STAYS IN SCOTLAND

Oliver Farr (Ludlow) won the Eden Trophy - the five-day men's open tournament organised by the St Andrews Links Trust - by beating fellow-Englishman Steven Clarke (Kidderminster) 4 and 3 in the final.
Clarke had knocked out the leading qualifier, Roberto Laino (Bedford & Co) , in the last 16.
Farr was the 47th of the 64 qualifiers for the match-play stages and Clarke was the 16th.
The Eden Tankard will stay in Scotland. Thomas Robertson (East Kilbride) won the handicap tournament by beating Michael McGuigan (Clober) 4 and 2 in an all-Scottish final.
Robertson, who plays off four, was the 31st of the 32 match-play qualifiers while McGuigan, a nine-handicapper, qualified in eighth position.
