Johnston leads by four at halfway stage of Tennant Cup
Jim Johnston (Ayr Belleisle), pictured, the Ayrshire stroke-play champion, takes a commanding four-stroke lead from the first two Tennant Cup rounds at Glasgow Gailes into Sunday's final 36 holes at Killermont Golf Club.
Johnston's opening round of three-under-par 68 put him clear of the big field and he held on to the pole position with a 72 in the afternoon.
Matthew Clark (Kilmacolm) is Johnston's closest rival with scores of 71 and 73 for 144
