Moffat beats Wood to win Scottish senior women's scratch title
MOFFAT BEATS WOOD TO WIN SCOTTISH SENIOR WOMEN'S SCRATCH TITLE
Former Scottish women's amateur golf champion Elaine Moffat (St Regulus) beat Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) by two holes in the final of the Scottish senior women's open amateur championship at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club today (Friday).
Moffat, pictured with the trophy, was two up after seven holes but Wood fought back to be one up after 12 holes. Moffat got on terms again by winning the 13th and was two up after 15.
The handicap championship was won by Isla McCrone (Turnhouse) who beat Karen Ballantyne (Craigmillar Park) 4 and 2 in the final.
