McDougall wins Scottish Young Pros' title despite two

double  bogeys in final round at West Lothian
 
Graeme McDougall (Elie Links) had two double bogey 6s in his final round but still managed to win the Scottish Young Professionals' Championship at West Lothian Golf Club today.
McDougall has rounds of 70, 68, 68 and 70 for an eight-under-par total of 276 - a shot ahead of joint runners-up James Steven (Pumpherston) (70-69-70-68) and Tom Higson (Gleneagles) 67-71-67-72).
McDougall's double bogeys came at the ninth and 13th in halves of 35. He was able to stay in the mix with a bag of five birdies.
Steven birdied the 16th and 17th in an inward 32 on his final round but came up one short of forcing a play-off while Higson was one over par for his final six holes so there was no late challenge from him.
Chris Curran (Bathgate), overnight leader with 69 and 67 for 136, fell away to final scores of 76 and 78 for 290.
