Alnwick student just outside top 10 in Kiawah Island college event

Jake Storey from Alnwick, in his fourth and final year as a student at Georgia Southern University, finished tied 11th in a field of more than 80 golfers at The Invitational @ The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island.

Storey, pictured, had rounds of 73, 71 and 70 for an aggregate of 214 - seven strokes behind the winner, Jake Marriott (Augusta University) who scored 66, 68 and 73 to win by one shot.
Middle Tennessee State (850) headed a field of 16 squads to take the team title. Georgia Southern (860) finished fourth.
