SCOTS BOYS QUALIFY FIFTH FOR TOP FLIGHT IN AUSTRIA

Scotland qualified in fifth place for the top match-play flight of the European boys' team championship at Atzenbrugg, Austria.
They
totalled 754 from the two qualifying rounds, the same total as Denmark
who won a card play-off to get fourth place ahead of the Scots.
Scotland will play the Danes in their first match.
Germany (746) were the top qualifiers agahead of France (750).
England (763) failed to make the top eight for the championship flight as did Wales (798).

Stewart was Scotlanbd's star of the two stroke-play rounds. He finished
tied fourth individually with 73 and 72 for 145, five ahead of Rory
Franssen (Inverness) who had rounds of 76 and 74.
