The third match in Renfrewshire`s West League Junior campaign took place against Lanarkshire at Elderslie Golf Club on Sunday

We had three players on international duty which meant a new player, Stewart Percy from Caldwell Golf Club, was introduced.

Conditions were dry and very windy but after 13 holes the games were fairly even going through except those involving Tom McKenzie, who was three up, and an out of form Jack Currie who was dormie down.

Over the last few holes Jonathan Murphy, Tom McKenzie and Matthew Dalrymple closed out their games at the 16th, 15th and 15th respectively.
Lanarkshire also gained 3pts and although in games 2 and 3 Renfrewshire players were one up going down the last hole, both games ended square which left the match drawn at 4-4.

The next match is against Dunbartonshire at Dumbarton on August 21 when we hope to get back to our winning ways.
