NORTH WIN INTER-DISTRICT
INVITATIONAL AT NAIRN

Spearheaded
by a 68 - seven shots under the CSS - by Jeff Wright (Forres), North
District comfortably won a three-team men's inter-district invitational
golf tournament over 18 holes off the blue tees at Nairn Golf Club today
(Sunday).
Each
eight-man team dropped their worst individual score and North triumphed
with a total of 507. North-east were second with 530 and Perth and
Kinross were third with 538.
Wright, pictured,
won the leading individual prize, a shot ahead of Callum Bruce (Duff
House Royal) with Rory Franssen (Inverness and Sandy Scott (Nairn)
vieing for third place with 70s. Franssen's better inward half was the
tie-breaker.
