Saltire Energy pro-am at Dreeside

Craig Ronald wins £1,118 first prize with a 

five-under 65

Craig Ronald produced his best round since he finished third in the Northern Open, winning today's £6,000 Saltire Energy pro-am top individual prize of £1,118 with a sparkling round of five-under-par 65 at Deeside Golf Club, Aberdeen.
The Carluke tour pro had birdies at the sixth, seventh, ninth, 11th, 13th and 17th in halves of 33 and 32. He had only one bogey over the tricky Bieldside course, at the 16th.
Ronald demoted joint clubhouse leaders Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) and Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) who both returned 67s and earned £782 apiece.
A double bogey 6 at the 10th cost fourth-placed Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf) second spot behind two-stroke winner Ronald.
O'Hara's 68 included five birdies
Laura Murray (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre)  earned £181 for a top 10 finish with a level par 70.
The pro-am team event was won by Graeme Brown (Montrose Links) and the A B Robb trio of amateurs, Alex Robb (handicap 10), Alan Esson (18) and Ian Thomson (11). They had a net team score of 17 under par 123.
