KIWI PRO BROWN SHOOTS 11-UNDER 59
New Zealand professional and PGA Tour of Australasia regular Mark Brown has joined the magical 59 club today.
Playing in the Carrus Open on his home tour, the Charles Tour, Mark Brown fired the 11-under 59 on the par-70 Tauranga Golf Club lay-out.
“It was one of those days where everything went right.”
Starting his round with a par on the 11th hole Brown was off to a slow start with a bogey on his second hole, the par-4 12th.
Recovering he went on to make two more birdies before heading to the front nine.
Brown ignited on the front nine reeling off five consecutive birdies.
He then went on to eagle the par-5 6th hole which he followed with a further two birdies to post a 9-under 26.
Heading to his final hole the par-4 10th Brown was at 10-under 60, he held his nerve to birdie the hole and join the 59 club
