NORTH-EAST INTRODUCE FIVE NEWCOMERS
North-east District, with little chance of heading their section, blood five newcomers in the team to travel to Tulliallan to play Clackmannan on Sunday.
Anthony Bews (Murcar Links) is the only one of the six who has previous representative experience.
Team is:
Anthony Bews (Murcar Links), Darren Watson (Peterhead), David Morrison (Duff House Royal), Graham Hogg (Oldmeldrum), John Duff (Newmachar), Martin Lawrence (Newmachar).
North-east won their first Group C tie 8-1 at home over Argyll & Bute but lost 5 1/2-3 1/2 away to Ayrshire who have two twins out of two to their credit and face winless Argyll & Bute at home in their final match.
The winners of the four sections will play the semi-finals and final at Tain Golf Club on October 4 and 5.
North District have named the following team to play Fife at Lundin Links on Sunday) in the final Group D match:
Bryan Fotheringham (Forres)
Fraser Fotheringham (Nairn)
Kyle Godsman (Hopeman)
Darren Hexley (Inverness)
Michael MacDonald (Fortrose & Rosemarkie)
Neil Howitt (Nairn).
North have only an outside chance of winning the Group and qualifying for the finals on October 4-5 at Tain Golf Club. They must beat Fife and hope that Stirling, with home advantage, can wreck the 100 % winning record of visitors Lanarkshire.

South (two wins) v Perth & Kinross (one win, one loss) (at Stranraer).
Group B
