Home Midland Alliance win by Lee Sutherland

After the cancellation of the first meeting , the Midland Golfers' Alliance got the new 2008-9 season under way, sponsored by Andrew Herd, at a sunny but blustery Ballumbie Castle Golf Course in Dundee.
Leading the way was host professional Lee Sutherland with a level par score of 69. Lee also led his team of Colin Myles (Monifieth) (6) and George Cant (Monifieth) (8) to victory in the team competition with a score of 59.
Best net score of the day was produced by James Milne (Drumoig) (10) - a fine 69.
