DOAK ON COURSE TO SMASH TARTAN
TOUR ONE-SEASON CASH RECORD

Northern Open champion Chris Doak is on course to smash the one-season Tartan Tour money record.
The target is Colin Gillie's haul of £41,590 on the PGA Scottish Region circuit in 2001.
Doak, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, is currently on £38,755 with around 17 domestic events to go before the Monifieth four-ball rings the curtain down on October 23.
He has averaged an income of £945 from each of the 41 Tartan Tour events he has played in this season. If Doak carries on at that rate he will bank another £16,000 by the end of the 2008 campaign.
He has won 10 times this season at venues as far apart geographically as they are alphabetically, from Aviemore to West Lothian and Wishaw.
The current top 20 Tartan Tour money-winners this season are:

1 Chris Doak (unatt) £38.755 (41 events).
