SCOTS LEVEL WITH SPAIN AT
6-6 WITH ONE DAY TO GO

Scotland wiped out a 1pt foursomes deficit by taking the singles 4 1/2-3 1/2 to end the first day of their friendly match against Spain on level terms at 6-6 at the Escorpion Golf Club, Valencia.
The second and last day will again feature four foursomes and eight singles.
Wallace Booth (Comrie), Scott Mann (Carnoustie), Kevin McAlpine (Alyth) and Keir McNicoll (Carnoustie) were the Scots winners in the afternoon. Ross Kellet (Colville Park) gained a halved match.

Jordi Garcia Pinto & Moises Cobo bt Callum Macaulay & Wallace Booth 1 hole.
Pedro Erice & Ion Garcia Avis lost to Scott Henry & John Gallagher 4 and 2.
Carlos Pigem & Juan Francisco Sarasti bt Scott Mann & Kevin McAlpine 4 and 3.
Pedro Oriol & Borja Etchart halved with Keir McNicoll & Ross Kellett.

Singles:

Pedro Erice lost to Wallace Booth 4 and 2.
Ion Garcia Avis lost to Scott Mann 3 and 1.

Pedro Oriol lost to Kevin McAlpine 4 and 3.
Borja Etchart lost to Keir McNicoll 1 hole.
