ASHLEIGH SHOWS STAR QUALITY WITH 

31 HOME FOR A FIVE-UNDER 68

England's Ashleigh Critchley looked a star in the making as she stormed home in only 31 shots - six birdies after the turn, one before it - for a five-under-par 68 to lead by six shots at the halfway stage of the Loretto Scottish Under-14 girls' open stroke-play championship at Murrayfield Golf Club, Edinburgh.
The leading Scot overnight is Grace Crawford (Gullane), in fourth place with a 77 which included birdies at the ninth and 19th.
